Using the custom blocks module you can create your own block contents. You can then go to blocks management and add your custom block to a block position. If I'm not mistaken the custom blocks module is not enabled by default. You will have to 'install' it by going to acp/Primetime/modules

Remember like the installations you did prior to the release of RC6, you ran the installer and it already set it to the latest version of primetime. You are right in assuming it is the move to one forum for every content type. Please notice that there was a follow up bug fix at rev. 649.

I am not familiar with that MOD but it sounds like the errors you're getting is due to it. The only thing PT does regarding login/logout is the login block so take a look there to see if you need to make other changes there
